　　人稱補習天皇的李白因醜聞而被逐出自己一手創立的補習社，同時被太太滿兒提出離婚。多年的打拼，回望自己的人生，想起最不想面對的人，父親李世豪…他是香港的傳奇教育人物，在坪澳灣建立了一所「大地小學」，崇尚另類教育，教育李白與不少學生純樸原始的大自然生活。可惜，李白並沒有為父親而自豪。自小跟著世豪在鄉郊生活，猶如一個野孩子，在世豪的口中，李白的媽媽竟然是大明星!有一次，李白出走市區尋找母親，當然發現一切都只是謊話。自此李白決定離開坪澳灣，後來與好兄弟顏家棟建立補習王國，走上與世豪截然不同的道路。

　　故事发生在清康熙年间。自幼孔武有力的聂多宝（马浚伟 饰）因与蓝翎侍卫尔豪发生冲突，引发满汉冲突，康熙（陈国邦 饰）为不使争端升级，下令汉人也可投考御前侍卫，后因孝庄（程可为 饰）太后阻挠而搁浅。顺治临终前留下书信一封，福全（马国明 饰）认为此信肯定牵扯到谁来继承皇位的问题，追查中得知信已遗失，于是他滥杀无辜，并将罪责全部推在孝庄、康熙等人身上，令头脑简单的多宝误入歧途。一个偶然机会，多宝听人谗言，说康熙是逼害自己家人的仇人，他想利用康熙南巡途中将其诛杀，但经过激烈的思想斗争最终没有下手，康熙念其护驾有功，升他为侍卫统领。此时，继位无望的福全终于发难了......

　　第二季中，Pearl将优先考虑自己的侦探工作，从一个解决案件的厨师，过渡到恰好拥有一家餐厅的全职调查员。

　　改编自Julie Wassmer的"Whitstable Pearl Mysteries"系列小说，本剧讲述了惠斯塔布当地善良的餐馆老板Pearl Nolan，年轻时曾接受过警察培训，但因为怀孕而放弃了自己梦想的职业，如今她成立了一家侦探社。在发现好友Vinnie的尸体后，她很快就卷入了自己的第一桩案件中。高级警督Mike McGuire刚调来小镇，以逃避自己在伦敦的过去，他与Pearl形成了意料之外的伙伴关系。随着第二具尸体的出现，Pearl发现这个自己称之为家的美丽小镇，有着阴暗的一面，而自己正被拉入其中。
　　挪威备受追捧的电影制作人Øystein Karlsen负责改编。Karlsen的编剧团队还包括《玛赛拉》的Mike Walden、《Malory Towers》的Rachel Flowerday，和《反击》的Alastair Galbraith。《浴血黑帮》导演David Caffrey为本剧领头导演，执导2集。

　　With a deft narrative that engages from the outset, Kris Mrksa creates suspenseful twists and with every hairpin turn perfectly navigates the story to ensure the audience won’t know who to believe and who is telling the truth.

　　“Douglas Is Cancelled” will see Hugh Bonneville play a middle aged and widely-respected news anchor called Douglas Bellowes while Gillan stars as his canny sidekick Madeline.
　　Douglas lives a perfect life. He enjoys his privileged status as national treasure and host of current affairs show “Live at Six” while off-air he shares a harmonious home with wife Sheila, a newspaper editor.

　　本剧灵感来自普利策奖获奖作家伊迪丝·华顿未完成的同名最终作，由全女性创意团队主导。英国喜剧演员Katherine Jakeways为剧集创作者和领头编剧，Susanna White（《安多》《荒凉山庄》《简爱（2006）》）担任领头导演，两人同Beth Willis（《援助》《神秘博士》）均为执行制片。The Forge Entertainment为制片方，所以这应该是一部英剧。
